Crowds will be allowed for the Boxing Day Test and Australian Open at 100 per cent capacity this summer, after Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced that restrictions would ease for fully vaccinated Victorians from 11.59pm on Thursday.
Both the Test match and the grand slam will be allowed to host capacity crowds as Victoria prepares to hit a 90 per cent double vaccination rate over the weekend.

“Victorians have kept their end of the bargain and the government will do the same,” Andrews said on Thursday.
“So whether it’s 100,000 people at the MCG on Boxing Day, or a smaller group of people standing up at the public bar at their local pub having a beer, this is the COVID normal that every Victorian has built.
