When the break finally came at 5-5 in the first set it was Kyrgios who swaggered around the court as though he swallowed a bunch of hero pills.
Unfortunately, the atmosphere spilled over to unsportsmanlike behaviour from the crowd with Purcell and Ebden having to bear the brunt of an ill-mannered section of the crowd.
That moment came in the second set as Purcell served to stay in the match down a break after losing the first set. A noise as Purcell went to serve saw all players stop as the crowd pointed to the offender.
