Western Australia has recorded 177 new local cases of COVID-19 overnight, with multiple cases linked to events at The Avenue in Claremont, Cottesloe Beach Hotel and Gage Roads in Fremantle.
The state has also recorded 12 travel-related infections, bringing the state’s total number of active cases to 574.

Premier Mark McGowan, who was at Gage Roads on Friday night when positive cases were reported, said he had returned two negative RATs.
He will not need to isolate, as new close contact rules mean only people who were at the venue for two hours or more during the times listed on the HealthyWA website will need to self-quarantine for seven days.
Meanwhile, anti-mandate protesters who set up camp at Langley Park on Tuesday have all since left the area, with police issuing 33 move-on notices and arresting 16 people overnight.

One woman, a camper named Bel, told Radio 6PR on Wednesday the group would stay until the vaccine mandates stopping thousands from entering most indoor public venues were removed.
“We got here yesterday to camp out to protest the mandates, we wanted to stop the mandate, that’s the point, we’re going to stay here until the mandates are over and we’re all free again,” she said.
A police spokesperson said people were arrested on Wednesday night for either breaching the move-on notices or failing to provide identifying particulars.
