Promising filly Sebrenco takes her first steps back on a potential path to Provincial Championship glory when she lines up in a competitive sprint at Monday’s feature Tamworth meeting.
On a card where many useful sprinter/milers are en route to bigger targets in autumn, Sebrenco is not only having her first run in nearly seven months, she’s also protecting an impressive early career record that hasn’t seen her finish further back than second in four starts.

Trained by Tracey Bartley at Wyong, Sebrenco has drawn the inside barrier for a strong Class 3 Hcp over 1000m on what is expected to be a Good 4 rating.
The flying daughter of the late and great Sebring hasn’t started since late July when she dominated from barrier to box winning a CL1 on her home track.
And it’s now just two days past an exact year since she debuted with a bang as a two-year-old at Quirindi charging home from midfield to win.
In between those two victories, she beat all bar the winner in heavy ground at both Dubbo and Muswellbrook.

Despite not publicly trialling, Sebrenco has reportedly been working well and is ready for her return in a race that could provide a very solid form line.
Consistent four-year-old The Wayfarer comes in off a smart third-up win in Class 2 grade at Walcha, Gosford five-year-old Rejinsky resumes behind a dominant trial win; while ultra-honest Armidale mare Kinjina is deep into her prep and has only missed a place once in her last five, and that was in a much tougher Highway at Rosehill six weeks ago.
