Suaalii, who added five kilos to his frame over the summer, has made a point of praising Joey Manu for his guidance, and spoken about how he wants to aspire to be like him on and off the field, which adds to the appeal of playing him outside his good mate on the right edge.

“Joey has been a good mentor, he’s taken me under his wing and I’ve learned a lot from him – I look to him like a big brother,” Suaalii said.
“I’ve trained everywhere, and wherever Robbo puts me, I’ll be happy to play anywhere.”
Suaalii played five NRL games last year after becoming the most talked-about teen in Australian sport following his defection from Souths to the Roosters the previous summer.
He suffered the foot injury before the competition was relocated to Queensland – his final game was in round 16 against the Storm – and he used the time at home to complete his rehabilitation and his Year 12 studies.
The Roosters also have Adam Keighran, who captained the Bears, and new recruit Kevin Naiqama as outside back options.
Robinson said the Roosters, who travel to North Queensland next Saturday with a 1-2 record, were impatient against Souths and the early lack of possession hurt them.
