Former Queensland Liberal MP George Christensen has reportedly announced he will run as a candidate for Pauline Hanson’s One Nation.
Christensen, who sat in the Nationals party room, resigned from the LNP last week and has previously said he would not recontest his Mackay-based seat of Dawson.

However, the Courier Mail on Wednesday reported Christensen would instead be joining One Nation and seeking re-election at the May 21 poll.
In the interview, he said he should have joined One Nation “a long time ago” after realising their beliefs and views matched his, and explained Hanson had approached him last year about the move.
Hanson reportedly argued Christensen still had more to give in parliament.
Christensen has been critical of vaccine mandates and said the LNP had abandoned its conservative roots.
One Nation has not yet confirmed where Christensen will run, but Hanson is expected to brief the media on Wednesday morning.
More to come.
